Nigeria Trip revisited

After struggling with what to do with the poems I wrote last year while I was in Nigeria. I’ve decided to publish my echapbook. I’m doing this for the following reasons:

  • The pandemic is being leveraged by supremacists and bullies worldwide to control the 99%. This has happened because we weren't outraged and we didn't love enough. We let this happen. We choose comfort over compassion.
  • I'm living in a racist, failed state, and there may be no other chance to publish this work.
  • Africans and Nigerians in particular are a resilient people. We have much to learn from them as the US Experiment seems to falter.
  • I'm a poet. I write poems. This is what and who I am.
